Coronavirus Update 13th July 2020

The Nightingale Centre took the decision on Tuesday 24th March to close the Centre to all guests and visitors until at least the end of May, and following the Prime Minister's statement on 10th May 2020, we made a further decision to remain closed until the end of July 2020. We have now looked very carefully at the current requirements for hospitality venues to re-open. These requirements need to be looked at for each venue in relation to social distancing, deep cleaning and meal preparation and serving and much depends on the size and layout of the building.

We have, therefore, made the decision to remain closed until the end of October 2020.

The health and wellbeing of our visitors, our colleagues and suppliers are of utmost importance to us and we must play our part in stopping the spread of the virus. We thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult and uncertain times.

Please be assured, we will continue to review the situation and we are hopeful of being able to open, albeit with limited guest numbers, before the end of the year. We will continue to publish updates on our website and social media pages.

We have provided as much info as possible in our FAQ's below to help with different scenarios, These contain all the information and instructions for current and future bookings.

We appreciate your patience at this time and thank you for your consideration.

Can I make a booking with you?

If you wish to make a booking after 31st October, please note that our office is temporarily closed, but you will be able to make your booking as soon as we reopen. We hope this will not be too far away, and we will announce our re-opening on our website just as soon as a change in the national health situation permits.

II have a booking with you, commencing before October 31st 2020, can I still go?

No. The Centre will be closed for the whole of August, September and October. We will gladly transfer any deposit paid onto a future booking taken before 31st December 2021 but please be aware that we will not be able to do this until we know when we can re-open.

I have a booking with you commencing after October 31st 2020, what should I do?

If your booking is due to start after 31st October 2020 there is still time for you to see how circumstances change. Our standard terms and conditions apply.

We will of course update this statement to reflect the most up to date government advice.

We appreciate your help, understanding and support. Please stay safe and heed Government advice about social distancing and self-isolation.

Customer Feedback

Silverdale school stayed at the excellent Nightingale Centre for a week as part of the Y7 pupils residential. The house met the need of both pupils and staff, the rooms were very tidy and comfortable. Every area of the centre was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. The most impressive aspect of the centre was how outstanding all the staff were; being extremely helpful and always finding time to chat. Set in beautiful grounds and with the glorious peak district all around I would recommend the the centre to any other school or member of the public.
Silverdale School

Once again I have enjoyed a splendid weekend at the Nightingale Centre. The newly built sun room has really improved the communal area. As we had such good weather it was lovely to be able to sit in there and enjoy the view of the garden and countryside. The food again was excellent. Thank you.
FOY Conference

Staff friendly and helpful, always ready to accommodate your needs. We would certaily recommend Hucklow and we are likely to come back.
