The centre is situated in the heart of the Peak District on the border of the White and Dark Peak. The centre's location gives walking groups a great choice and provides an ideal base for walkers, ramblers and cyclists with effective drying room and secure cycle storage and cleaning facilities. We have great food, flexible catering, large social areas, a lounge, sunroom, conservatory and a number of additional breakout spaces. There are also two large conference rooms; the Peach Hall accommodating up to 80 and the Hibbert Room accommodating up to 40 people.
The centre is perfect for those who enjoy being close to nature. Set amidst beautiful Peak District scenery the white dry-stone walls of the White and Dark Peak areas are unique to this area of Great Britain. Providing a haven of peace and tranquillity, Peak District National Park boasts a wealth of native and rare wild flowers and wildlife. The well stocked Nightingale centre gardens are no exception.
For the more intrepid outdoor pursuits enthusiast, there are exciting cycling, climbing, caving and gliding opportunities nearby. The centre is also a really good base for seeking out a wealth of local tourist haunts or just to relax.
The attractive and well equipped dining room serves a wide variety of excellent food. The catering staff are happy to help with any dietary requirements and will prepare special menus to suit individual groups including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes. The centre has 28 bedrooms and sleeps up to 71, 34 people can be accommodated in en-suite rooms plus the dormitory.
