Coronavirus Update 27th February 2021

Good News at last!

Following the Government's announcement of its roadmap out of lockdown, we hope to re-open the Centre to guests from Monday 17th May 2021.

This will be dependent on the Government being satisfied at the time that the restrictions can be lifted.

We will post any required changes on our website www.thenightingalecentre.org.uk and social media pages.

The office will not be staffed during the lockdown as all staff will remain on furlough. Please use email info@thenightingalecentre.org.uk for any queries about a current or new booking as advised below.

Thank you again for your patience. Please take care and stay safe during the lockdown.

We will continue to publish updates on our website www.thenightingalecentre.org.uk and social media pages.

The health and wellbeing of our visitors, our colleagues and suppliers are of utmost importance to us and we must play our part in stopping the spread of the virus. We thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult and uncertain times and look forward with hope to the re-opening of the Centre in May.

We also thank our loyal supporters who have continued to support the Centre financially through becoming Friends of Hucklow and also supporting the Fighting Fund set up by David Warhurst which has now reached over £28,000.

We have provided as much info as possible in our FAQ's below to help with different scenarios. These contain all the information and instructions for current and future bookings.

Can I make a future booking with you?

Please be aware that our office is temporarily closed. We hope to re-open it on a limited basis as soon as it is safe to do so. For any enquiries and bookings, please email using info@thenightingalecentre.org.uk

If you wish to make a future booking, please make contact through the email address above. Please note that, regarding bookings for dates in summer 2021 there could be restrictions in the size and nature of bookings we can accept, to take account of the emerging health situation and Government guidelines. We will send you in advance the details of our Covid Security arrangements and ask you to sign that you have understood these and will take responsibility for ensuring that the members of your group are aware and follow them.

I have a booking with you, commencing before 17th May 2021, can I still go?

No. The Centre will be closed until the current lockdown ends. We will gladly transfer any deposit paid onto a future booking taken before 1st June 2022.

I have a booking with you commencing after 17th May 2021, what should I do?

If your booking is due to start after 17th May 2021 and is for more than 6 people, we will contact you in April to discuss the options available to you. These will be dependent on the Government Guidelines for hospitality which will be available in April. Our standard terms and conditions apply. We will of course update this statement to reflect the most up to date government advice.

We appreciate your help, understanding and support. Please stay safe and heed Government advice about social distancing and self-isolation.

Saturday 27th February 2021 For enquiries about an existing or future booking please email the Centre:

Customer Feedback

Silverdale school stayed at the excellent Nightingale Centre for a week as part of the Y7 pupils residential. The house met the need of both pupils and staff, the rooms were very tidy and comfortable. Every area of the centre was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. The most impressive aspect of the centre was how outstanding all the staff were; being extremely helpful and always finding time to chat. Set in beautiful grounds and with the glorious peak district all around I would recommend the the centre to any other school or member of the public.
Silverdale School

Once again I have enjoyed a splendid weekend at the Nightingale Centre. The newly built sun room has really improved the communal area. As we had such good weather it was lovely to be able to sit in there and enjoy the view of the garden and countryside. The food again was excellent. Thank you.
FOY Conference

Staff friendly and helpful, always ready to accommodate your needs. We would certaily recommend Hucklow and we are likely to come back.
